bath update

We have remodeled a fair amount of baths over the years. It's always best when the budget allows for a total gut and redo if there's rot and ick. But if a pot of gold isn't sitting at the end of your rainbow.. much can be done to update a sad bathroom.

Paint. Paint the walls, paint the vanity. This is the quickest and most inexpensive way to update. Next... cabinet hardware. Note what size you need and head to Lowe's or Home Depot. If you like the furniture look- add feet to your vanity. They are inexpensive and fairly easy to install. ...

Add a painted wood frame to your mirror.

Or take down your one large mirror and put up two smaller mirrors. Instant update! Change that light fixture. Cheap in the grand scheme of things. Faucett. This is where you should spend the bits of gold you've managed to find... don't buy a cheap faucet. You won't be happy down the road.

Oh and perhaps the most exciting thing to do! Well in my estimation... buy an old dresser and convert to a vanity. If this is beyond your level of expertise.. we can help!

And last... replace your shower curtain, spring for new towels and window treatments. Keep it simple. If you can't replace your tile... clean that grout and throw down some new rugs.. for now. Now stand back and admire!
