I've really been enjoying organizing. (We are in "lets give this a try" mode right now.. testing the waters to see if this new venture will be a good fit for my fly-girl sister-in-law and myself). I can't say how exciting it is for me to see a really messy room that needs to be completely saved from piles of "I might need that", ill placed furniture, dingy wall colors, and good intentions. I see the room completely restored and shining in my head. And I get so impatient to get to that spot, to see my vision come to life.
I'd rather not deal with paperwork (fly-girl is very good at client paperwork), painting or deep cleaning. But it is necessary to do what needs to be done properly to get to a beautiful room. So I power through with the fly-girl's help and energy to get to the good stuff. Setting up the new room, placing accessories, bringing in new window treatments and light fixtures that we get for a great price. And working with what is already there, repurposing. That is just beyond exciting to me.
And seeing a room transformed is a rush. We stand back… take some pics and just bask in the change. There is nothing else quite like it. Before…. After. We tackle the dots between and I carry the vision of "After" in my heart.
We are working with a client presently that needs a whole house re-do. We made a decision which room to start with and are taking it one room at a time. I created a palette of color for the whole house. It's been a slow start but as we go we always gain momentum. Kind of like making up time with a good tail wind (for my fly-girl). It's a good thing.
I know you want to see photos of some of our work. We are holding those until we make the decision in the New Year to go formal with this. Then I'm off to creating a new website and marketing… here we go?
