Been absent from this blog. Organizing at a farm, and preparing for our upcoming camping vacation. If any of you reading this have camped.. you know it's more work then most any other vacation as you bring your "hotel" and all meals with you! Crazy. But wonderful to get away from the business for a few days. And if any of you are self-employed then you know you can't just shut your office door and head home! We live in our "office". …


Tomorrow is the 4th of July. We are headed to a relatives for the day. They live on a beautiful bit of property here in Minnesota. This is the second year they are opening up their home to a boatload of Olsons and a few of their dog mates.

The crew has been at our Apple Valley project most of this holiday week. We should always work in "Apple Valley" don't you think? We certainly do have a variety of work. These days mostly smaller remodels, decks and window replacements. Just the way it's rolling.

We are still looking for a third crew mate. No luck so far. We know the right guy will come along when it's the right time. We just need to be patient with the process. Once he's on board then the Carpenter can start wearing one less hat. 

I'm headed out for a walk with our snack manager in few moments.. hope to shoot some 4th of July pics in our town. Also check on that large restoration project I wrote about last week.
