I started another post for today... but it was for Friday.. today. I couldn't finish it because I had to go help the Carpenter stain windows at one of our projects. It feels good to be able to help on the jobs now and then. I got 3 windows stained! A very tedious task I must say.
This evening I was walking by my little office nook and my mac beckoned me to come see something. Truly it is his fault I'm sitting here instead of doing something else! Anyway I got pulled into Facebook. I get posts for the store Anthropologie. They have a new blog... http://blog.anthropologie.com. I saw a post with what I call a dream board or idea board. ...
I love this board. Visually it really appeals to me. And it gave me an idea. Why not create a dream board for your home? (Yes you could do this electronically on Pinterest.) If you struggle to know what you want.. or you long to break out of the style rut you've been in for years. But you don't know where to start. Buy a piece of foam board or better yet.. a large cork board and start collecting any thing that attracts you. Colors, patterns, textures, photos, kitchen cabinets, lighting fixtures, cabinet knobs, vanities, wallpaper, furniture. Just pick away at it. Add to it gradually. Have some fun. Don't worry about it looking perfect. Let it evolve. Wait for the surprise.. maybe a color palette you never thought of? And when the board is full... you will know what you want your home to become.
