signs of spring

I'm feeling a bit draggy today. Outside my office window are mountains of white. Piled as high as me here and there. It's March but looks and feels like January. There is still an absence of smell, not much bird chatter, an abundance of pale sun rays and very chilly temps. It's still very much coat, mittens and boot weather. I still need to bundle up when I take my dog Gracie for a walk every day. Yet sitting right next to my computer is a sign of spring- a ray optimism that color is truly just around the corner of this season of white- a pot of pansies I've managed to winter over. I've kept them in a sunny window and simply refused to let them grow! I just keep pinching back. Hang on pansies!! 


I wasn't feeling inspired to write a post today. I guess I've got a case of the old "ho hums". So I went on a search for signs of spring... yes.. there are signs of spring deep inside my mac... and here they are. I hope that if you have a case even ever so slight of the "ho-hums" that these photos will cheer you a tiny bit.
