Springtime. Yes it is, at least the calendar says it is.
If you are on a job like we are right now and the thaw is
beginning, here is what you can look forward to.
As snow melts away you notice that yellow thing sticking
out of the snow, you realize it is the handle to the tin snips you couldn’t
find a few weeks ago.
As the area around your workstation starts to melt, you
realize just how much saw dust you have accumulated over the last couple of
months.
Sink holes are forming around the foundation…that’s right,
the excavator needs to be called for another backfill and grade. ...
You may say to yourself…”I thought we put all the trash into
the dumpster”
It’s amazing how much still needs to be picked up.
You can finally get to the last few piles of lumber that
have been frozen into the snow for some time.
Don’t forget to pull out your trailer that has been parked
all winter on frozen ground that in reality what was frozen ground is very
loose backfill….now thawed…and if you are not on top of it, your trailer will
be sunk up to the axels.
Oh, did I mention mud?
Yes these are a few of my favorite spring things.
